COPPA Compliance Policy
Last update: March 03, 2026
1. Service Scope and Target Audience
Agego.com is a service owned and operated by Age Verification Technology, S.L. (“AgeGO”). AgeGO is an age verification service provided to business platforms (“Business Customers”) that require age verification to restrict access to content, products, or services intended for adults.
AgeGO’s services are designed exclusively for use in age-restricted environments and are not directed to individuals under eighteen (18) years of age.
AgeGO does not market, promote, or offer its services to minors and, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, does not target children under thirteen (13) years of age.
AgeGO provides its services solely to Business Customers and does not operate a consumer-facing platform.
2. Data Collection Practices
AgeGO does not knowingly collect, use, or retain personal information from children under thirteen (13) years of age.
To support this position, AgeGO implements the following measures:
- Age verification checks are initiated prior to granting verification outcomes to the Business Customers platforms;
- Facial age estimation, where deployed, is performed by a third-party provider without transmission or storage of facial images on AgeGO servers;
- Additional age verification and estimation methods may be used as described in AgeGO’s website;
- Pseudonymized system logs and encrypted infrastructure are implemented to protect processed data;
- Personal data is retained by AgeGO third-party providers only for the period necessary to complete the verification transaction, ensure system integrity, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
AgeGO does not create independent user profiles and does not use personal information for marketing or behavioral tracking purposes.
3. COPPA Position and Applicability
Pursuant to Part 312 of Title 16 of the Code of Federal Regulations (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule), AgeGO is not subject to parental consent requirements under COPPA for the following reasons:
- The service is not directed to children under thirteen (13) years of age;
- AgeGO does not have actual knowledge that it collects personal information from children under thirteen (13);
- Age controls and verification mechanisms are implemented to prevent minors from accessing age-restricted services;
- In the event AgeGO becomes aware that personal information from a child under thirteen (13) has been collected, such information will be deleted without unreasonable delay, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
4. Risk Scenarios and Mitigation Measures
AgeGO has identified and implemented controls addressing the following scenarios:
- Minor provides a false age. Multi-layer age verification methods, including facial estimation and document verification where applicable, are designed to reduce the risk of access by minors.
- Data processed before age is confirmed. System architecture is designed to limit retention of personal information prior to completion of age verification logic.
- Legal liability under COPPA. Reduced because the service is not directed to children and is designed to avoid knowingly collecting personal information from children under thirteen (13).
- Retention of a child’s data after detection. If applicable, deletion procedures are triggered upon identification of a minor user.
5. Review and Compliance Monitoring
This Policy is reviewed whenever material system updates occur and periodically as part of internal compliance monitoring.
Oversight is conducted by AgeGO’s designated Privacy Officer. For information requests or compliance-related inquiries regarding COPPA, please contact our Privacy Officer designated for the U.S.: legal@agego.com
